My style has changed so much over the last two years.
Most of the stuff that I used to love I have gotten rid of along with the brands that they came from. You’re cancelled Dickies, ya hear me??
While my style has changed a little there’s still a bit of the pin-up vintage retro style mixed in with everything.
If you read any of my other blog posts you probably know that I have decided to cull my wardrobe to be as minimal as possible and also 90% of it is black.
That being said I have a list of new brands or shops that I love and I have also included a few brands or stores that I still shop from that are more pinup retro style. I just buy black versions of whatever pieces that I like.
Other than the list below, I shop on Amazon, at Target and Kohl’s for basic separates and wardrobe essentials.
Top Clothing Brands for 2019
Heres a little and not exactly complete list of my favorite brands.
Foxblood
This is the online store that is my current favorite. Damn near everything they have is black and can work with all of the wardrobe pieces I already own.
Mind you, some of the items on here are a bit “hot topic” but I love how many vegan (faux) leather pieces they have. Also my favorite pair of boots came from here!
Vixen by Micheline Pitt & La Femme En Noir
Both of these brands are from Micheline Pitt however I believe she has a business partner for LFEN.
Vixen is a more pin-up, rockabilly style brand while LFEN tends to be a bit more vampy while still using vintage designs as inspiration. Personally I love them both equally. Oh yeah, and that 3rd photo, the first from LFEN, is a SWIMSUIT. THATS RIGHT, A SWIMSUIT.

Black Craft Cult
BCC is mostly a graphic tee type of brand but they have some really cute leggings and joggers so I can still look cute (and slightly evil) while working out. I honestly don’t know why other brands forget that we like to have work out clothing that matches our personal styles as well. Not everyone wants to wear floral or baby blue yoga pants to get sweaty.
I want to feel like im MURDERING those calories, not planting a tulip garden…
Oh and they collab with artists… which is awesome.
Backbite
Backbite is like the best rock n roll vintage store that doesn’t exist anywhere except online. Although I think they do have a brick and mortar in Los Angeles, I haven’t seen it with my own eyeballs so don’t quote me on this.
I love that they not only have a ton of carefully sourced (rock, motorcycle style) vintage but they also have housewares, customized vintage pieces that they print designs on, their own line of Backbite made items AND other brands/artists they love! How rad is that?!
Solstice intimates
Omg. Omg. Omg.
Literally the best retro styled lingerie ever. Comfort above all and these designs look good on everyone. I MEAN EVERYONE. Solstice Intimates makes more than lingerie though. On their site you can find bodysuits, outerwear, dresses, swimsuits, NURSING clothing, and even stuff for dudes.
El Rodeo Store
Another rock n roll clothing brand… I know, I know. But here’s the deal. I ride a motorcycle everyday. And although I have been known to ride in a dress often, sometimes jeans and a tee trumps all.
El Rodeo Store makes really awesome retro inspired graphic tees. They also have a small vintage section on their site.
Mischief Made
This is the ultimate retro 50s graphic tee brand. Cowgirls, spooky babes, tattooed ladies, fluffy poodles and motorcycle mamas can all be found here!! The website also has a mommy and me section for matching the littles and a mens section too.

From this list you would think that I literally live in t-shirts.

I still have so many things to get rid of in my closet before I can purchase anything else! Id like to legit get down to 30 items in my wardrobe. The number seems high but its a lot harder than I thought it would be.
My end goal is to fit all of my clothes in my bedroom closet. Right now its in my closet, my dresser and my guest room closet. And if I’m being totally honest, it’s also taking up floor space, laundry baskets and some boxes in my husbands office. This is a serious issue.
