It can be totally confusing and difficult to get the right cruelty free products.
Sometimes its hard to find the right information and sometimes we’re just to effing tired to do the research.
I GET IT.
I hated researching every little thing too and still do.
There are a few websites and blogs that I love and use constantly, but I thought it might be nice to make my own list for my friends. I feel like the easier it is to access the information, the more likely people are to choose CF products.
Drugstore grab-n-go
With that in mind I made a list of cruelty free brands for the things I personally shop for at the drugstore. When you just have to grab a few things and you don’t want to do 20 mins of searching first, this list will make it easier. Also a lot of the brands overlap into many categories which makes it even quicker to pick up the things you need. Once you start to recognize the brand names it gets much easier.
On another note, I can’t vouch that all of the products or brands here will work for you. The brands or items marked with an asterisk are ones I personally recommend because the product worked great for me, and everything in bold is cruelty free AND vegan.
This is not by any means the entire list of drugstore cruelty free cosmetics brands but I felt like these were the most recognizable and/or have the most variety of products to choose from. The hope is that the transition for a newb will be easy enough to not scare them away with too much info. Or too many choices (a problem for some although not for myself).

E.L.F.* I highly recommend the primers, BB creams and setting sprays
Milani* Conceal and Perfect 2 in 1 foundation is my JAM! It is literally the best foundation I have ever used. It is CF but not vegan. The ingredients list bees-wax, which is a no-go for a lot of vegans.

Pacifica* I only have some of their lippies but I absolutely love them! They are more like highly tinted balms.

Wet n Wild* Highlighters are on point!! I also like their matte primer and setting spray. Lots of vegan products available but will have to read ingredients.

NYX* This brand has some vegan items so you’ll have to read ingredients if you are vegan. I do like this brand and have a few of their cosmetics.

This is actually a pretty decent sized list. I didn’t want it to be too crazy with info but I think this is a great starting point especially if you are just starting to transition to cruelty free cosmetics.
